The more I understand myself, the less I feel understood
Something I’ve been learning (and what’s helping me handle it).
Hey, can we talk about something I’ve been sitting with?
I’ve been doing a lot of growing lately. You know, actually learning myself.
Setting boundaries, being honest, healing the messy parts and embracing the responsibilities I have now (family wise).
And it feels good.
But also… kinda lonely?
It’s this weird thing no one really talks about:
The more I understand myself, the less I feel understood by others.

In case you want the 3 post types that changed the game for me, brought clients, visibility, and real results. I broke it all down HERE.
At first, it felt like I was finally coming home to myself.
I started saying how I actually feel.
Stopped forcing conversations that don’t go anywhere.
Let go of stuff that never really felt like mine to carry.
But then I started noticing something else:
People I used to vibe with? Now it feels like I have to explain myself more.
Some think I’m “different” now, or “too much.”
I even miss parts of the old me the version who didn’t think this deeply.
And it’s not like anything went wrong…
It’s just that growth creates space.
And sometimes, that space feels like distance.

3 things that are helping me hold space for this season:
1. Let the space be space.
When you grow, things fall away. That includes people, habits, roles even versions of yourself. Don’t rush to fill the silence. Let it breathe.
2. Remember: feeling lonely isn’t the same as going backwards.
It’s easy to think “if it hurts, maybe I’m doing something wrong.” But this kind of pain is often a sign of real alignment. You’re not breaking. You’re rebuilding.
3. Keep showing up as the you you’re becoming, even if not everyone claps.
It’s tempting to shrink to stay relatable. But the right people, spaces, and seasons will meet you where you are. You don’t have to go backwards to feel connected.

💭 My takeaway?
You don’t have to be fully understood to be fully aligned.
And just because someone doesn’t get you now…
doesn’t mean you’ve lost anything.
You’ve probably just outgrown a version of life that was never really built for the real you.
