I was trying to sound smart. I was trying to impress people. But that made my writing feel distant.

What actually connects with people? Emotion. Honesty. Story.

Here’s the simple little structure I use now:

1️⃣ Start where the pain was.
Not with the lesson. Start with what hurt, what was hard, what felt stuck.

Be honest about the fear, relief, hope whatever you actually felt.

4️⃣ Share what you learned.
Not as “advice.” Just as: here’s what this taught me.

5️⃣ Bring it back to them.
Why does this matter for their life? Their work? Their next step?
