Ever feel like you're doing everything right and still getting no results?
That was me. Writing every day. Posting. Editing late into the night.
And still: crickets.
No likes. No DMs. No responses.
I started wondering: "Maybe I’m just not good at this."
But here’s what I learned and it might help you too if you’ve been stuck lately.
The problem wasn’t my effort. It was my approach.
I was trying to sound smart. I was trying to impress people. But that made my writing feel distant.
What actually connects with people? Emotion. Honesty. Story.
In case you want the 3 post types that changed the game for me, brought clients, visibility, and real results. I broke it all down HERE.
Here’s the simple little structure I use now:
1️⃣ Start where the pain was.
Not with the lesson. Start with what hurt, what was hard, what felt stuck.
2️⃣ Show the shift.
When did things turn? What sparked a change?
3️⃣ Let the reader feel it.
Be honest about the fear, relief, hope whatever you actually felt.
4️⃣ Share what you learned.
Not as “advice.” Just as: here’s what this taught me.
5️⃣ Bring it back to them.
Why does this matter for their life? Their work? Their next step?

Since I made this shift, something funny happened:
- My posts don’t feel so forced anymore.
- People reply.
- And I don’t dread writing.
Look, I still don’t always get it right. But now I know:
When I write like I’m talking to one person, someone who’s been there too, it flows so much easier.

Here is what happy clients are saying:
So if your content feels flat lately, maybe you don’t need more tips or hacks.
Maybe you just need to write like you’re talking to one person who gets it.
Thanks for reading. And if today’s email helped, I’m glad we’re still figuring this stuff out together ❤️

Really interesting! Thank you! I've been intrigued how each of my pieces resonate with a different group of people. Sometimes what we have to say isn't for everybody, but it's for somebody. <3
